Detailed maintenance tips
Washing at 30°C
We recommend washing uniforms at a temperature of up to 30°C on a gentle cycle. Higher temperatures can cause the fabric to shrink, wear out more quickly and fade colors.
To better protect the fabric, prints, embroidery and decorative elements, we recommend washing clothes inside out.
Dark and light colors should be washed separately. Dark fabrics may experience slight dye bleeding during the first few washes, which is a natural process for heavily dyed fabrics.
No bleaching agents
Use gentle detergents designed for colored clothes.
We do not recommend the use of bleach, chlorine or harsh chemicals as they can damage the fibers, change the color and reduce the life of the fabric.
Natural drying, no dryer
To preserve the shape and structure of the uniforms, we do not recommend drying in a dryer.
The dryer can cause:
- shrinkage of the fabric;
- deformation of the cut;
- fading of colors;
- damage to elastic fibers;
- disruption of prints and decorative elements.
The best option is natural drying in a ventilated place, without direct exposure to strong sunlight.
Ironing at low temperature
If necessary, iron at a low to medium temperature, appropriate for the composition of the fabric.
It is recommended to iron on the reverse side of the garment. Avoid ironing directly on prints, embroideries, logos and decorative elements.
Uniform storage
Keep uniforms clean and completely dry, in a dry and ventilated place.
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as well as storing damp clothes, as this can lead to unpleasant odors, stains, or damage to the fabric.
Proper maintenance is essential to maintaining the quality, colors, and professional appearance of uniforms for a long period of time.
Following the recommendations below will help your clothes maintain their shape, comfort, and durability with daily use.
Best laundry tips
We want your school uniform to retain its shape, color, and quality for as long as possible.
Here are some additional tips for proper care and maintenance:
Always check the label
Always read the instructions on the garment label before washing and follow them carefully.
Wash only when necessary.
Reducing frequent machine washing helps preserve the fabric, colors, and shape of the uniform for longer, while simultaneously reducing water and energy consumption.
Caring for uniforms is also caring for the environment — lower washing temperatures and less frequent machine washing contribute to more sustainable resource consumption and less impact on nature.
Do not overload the washing machine
Overloading the washing machine can lead to more friction between clothes, pilling, and more difficult ironing after washing.
Use low temperatures
Washing at low temperatures helps preserve the colors and structure of the fabric, while reducing wear and tear on clothes.
Use an appropriate amount of detergent
Excessive amounts of detergent can leave residue in fabrics and affect the softness and appearance of the fabric.
Button your clothes before washing
We recommend that sweatshirts, jackets, and other items with zippers or buttons be fastened before washing to maintain their shape.
Wash similar colors together
Wash clothes with similar colors and care instructions to better preserve colors and fabrics.
Do not leave the stains for a long time
It is recommended to wash soiled clothes promptly. The longer the stains remain on the fabric, the more difficult they are to remove.
Additional information
Uniforms are designed for intensive daily use and long-lasting comfort. Their lifespan depends on both the frequency of wear and proper maintenance.
Slight changes in the color, softness and structure of the fabric over time are considered a natural process in the exploitation of textile products.
The manufacturer is not responsible for damage or changes resulting from failure to follow maintenance instructions, use of unsuitable detergents, tumble drying, aggressive industrial washing or mechanical damage.
For dark and saturated colors, minimal dye shedding is possible during the first few washes, which is a natural characteristic of textiles and is not considered a manufacturing defect.
With proper care, your uniforms will retain their presentable appearance, comfort and quality for a long time. Prime Wear creates products designed to be reliable in both everyday work and any professional environment.
